Enrichment
Your donations to The Giving Fund help pay the salaries of the following 14 enrichment teachers and programs!
Teachers Aides
Each classroom has a teacher's aide, funded by TEP, to lower the teacher-to-student ratio. Aides help teachers with day-to-day classroom prep, operations and assisting students.
Physical Education
All classes participate in P.E. twice a week with TEP-funded coaches, meeting all district standards. Fifth graders also receive focused preparation for the statewide fitness test each spring.
Science
With a dedicated Science Teacher and Classroom, grades K – 5 receive formal weekly science curriculum.
Art
Students work with many mediums from paint to sculpture to printmaking. Students also learn about prominent artists in history and traditions in folk art from many cultures. Each student is encouraged to let their imaginations grow, and express themselves through creativity!
Technology Lab
Outdoor Learning Lab
From K to 5th grade, students enjoy learning new computer and keyboard skills, as well as online safety and citizenship, in our dedicated computer lab with the TEP-funded Technology Teacher.
Topanga Elementary Charter School sits on five acres of oak woodland, featuring nature trails, an outdoor amphitheater, and a thriving garden. Our Outdoor Lab Enrichment Teacher extends classroom learning through hikes, hands-on horticulture, vermiculture, and lessons in Native Science and environmental stewardship.
